Twilight 20th Anniversary Edition Book Feature
A few weeks ago, I published a post about my copy of the deluxe limited edition version of Twilight. In the post I wrote about the book, which you can read here, I mentioned I have the 20th anniversary edition of the book and want to talk about it as well.
Now it’s time to talk about my copy!
Before I show what the book looks like, I wanted to talk about how I purchased it.
I purchased my copy off Amazon. I originally planned to buy it from Walmart (Which is where I purchased the deluxe limited edition from) but the Walmart I normally shop at sold out of the 20th anniversary edition. Although I was disappointed, I decided to buy it from Amazon instead.
And now, onto the book!
The 20th anniversary edition is a paperback, not hardcover. The cover has the original cover picture and design the novel used to have when it was published twenty years ago. The only difference is this version says it is the 20th anniversary edition and say Stephenie Meyer is the author of the Twilight Saga…

This is what the back of the book looks like…

It is different than the book that was published twenty years ago, but I still think it fits the theme and aesthetics of the book and the 2000’s.
The book’s cover has a matte look and feel to it. The original paperback covers were glossy.
Even though this is the twentieth anniversary version: It has something that modern day books, especially limited edition books, have: Sprayed edges!
The sprayed edges on the top and bottom of the book are black with a red vine design on them…

The last side of the book has one of the most famous quotes from the novel in white letters…

Inside the front cover of the book is an illustration…

And there is an illustration in the inside of the back cover of the book…

As for the rest of the book, it is pretty much the same as with previous copies I own. Here is the copyright page and dedication page…

Since this book has been published for twenty years, the copyright page is bigger than it was twenty years ago. The dedication page, though, is the same.
So is the table of contents page…

The quote from the Book of Genesis in the bible…

The rest of the book is the same exact layout and font as the original published version. I don’t want to show the whole book off, so I wanted to show what the Preface looks like…

I know the writing in the book is blurry in these photographs. I had problems with my photo editing software and it made everything blurry. Since I’m using these photographs for this post, and this post is about a book that is still in publication, I decided to leave the photographs blurry.
Overall, I’m happy with this book. It is a nice way of honoring the book, but at a more affordable price point than the deluxe edition. It looks like it is the kind of book that someone can read if they want to, or keep it on their shelf and display. It is thinner than the original book, but the font is smaller than in the original book. I am a little disappointed that it is smaller, but then again I’m thinking of this book as one I want to collect, not carry with me to read.
I think this book is a great version to buy someone who is a fan of Twilight, especially if they always wanted a thinner version of the book to read. It is also more affordable collectable version of the book than the deluxe version, which was around $39 full price while this one is $19 full price. The twentieth anniversary edition is still available to buy as of the publishing of this post.
That’s all for now! Thank you for reading!
