Over the last year, I’ve been cleaning out a lot of things from my house. Some of the things I needed to get rid of was old clothes. During this process, I noticed there are certain brands I liked more than others. After going through all the clothes I liked and what their brands are, I decided to write a post about five of my favorite clothing brands I like to shop.

Before I start talking about my favorite clothing brands, I wanted to mention I prefer to shop these brands when they are on sale. Some of them can be very pricey, so I prefer to browse them during sales and whenever I spot them at clearance racks or clearance stores.

Free People

I feel like Free People is either hit or miss for me. Sometimes, I really love their clothes. They are cute, flowy, and perfect for the hot summer days. Other times, I don’t like them at all. They look frumpy on me or they show off too much skin! Still, Free People is a brand I do like to shop. My favorite clothes to shop for are shirts and dresses.

 

Lucky Brand

Lucky Brand has similar style clothes to Free People, but these clothes are more practical for me to wear. I can also find cotton blouses (Which I need to wear due to my sensitive skin problems) for decent prices. I also like how it is normally hot weather friendly as well.

 

Lauren Ralph Lauren (Or Ralph Lauren in General)

Ralph Lauren has become a major trend recently. (2025 to be exact) This is due to the brand’s preppy style. (Also called Old Money style on TikTok) I liked Ralph Lauren before it became very trendy. Ralph Lauren’s fashion style is perfect for office wear and can be adapted to wearing out after work. There are also 100% cotton shirts that won’t irritate my skin, stylish coats, and other fashionable items that make me keep shopping the brand.

 

Tommy Helfinger

Tommy Helfinger is a brand I also like to shop for the same reasons I do Ralph Lauren. It has a preppy style I like plus the fiber content of their clothing is perfect for my sensitive skin. Tommy Helfinger clothing are usually less expensive than Ralph Lauren’s, making it a perfect option for anyone looking for the preppy look but without spending a lot of money.

 

Chaps

Chaps is a brand I have shopped it a long time, but I used to do a lot. Whenever I would see Chaps clothes for sale, I would browse what was available. Chaps is subsidiary of Ralph Lauren Corporation, which is probably why I like it so much. The style of Chaps’ clothing is complimentary to Ralph Lauren’s, but it isn’t the same. It is also the less costly brands to shop and purchase. Now-en-days the brand is available at stores such as Walmart and Amazon, to name a few. I used to shop Chaps when it was a JcPenny’s and Kohl’s.
