15 of the Happiest Things That Happened for Me in 2025

2025 was not a great year for me. I had some major disappointments and suffered from some upsetting things this year. Yet, at this time of my life, I now know that no matter how sad the year has been, there are still some happy things that happen as well.

Since we are so close to the end of 2025, I decided to write a post about the happy things that happened to me this year.

  1. I now know enough about my food allergies that I can avoid eating foods with my allergens in them.
  2. I found out my area has groceries that do not contain my food allergies. This has helped me by not making me travel almost an hour one way to buy groceries.
  3. My new-to-me vehicle that replaced my previous new-to-me vehicle has worked great! Aside from normal maintenance, it runs fine. It is also way more reliable than my old vehicle!
  4. Even though there is a lot of work to go, I have made visible progress in cleaning out my things.
  5. I bought a lot of books this year (Which I have a love/hate relationship with) so I don’t need to buy many, if any, books next year.
  6. The swelling in my body due to my allergies has gone done a lot. I do have a propensity to overwork and strain my muscles in certain areas of my body, mostly due to the mobility issue I had with my swelling, but I can move easily again.
  7. One of my relatives had a major health crisis earlier this year, but they have made a full recovery.
  8. A new Superman movie was released earlier this year. (I like Superman and I miss new movies/TV shows featuring him)
  9. My “fancy” camera (A Cannon Rebel T7) still works great. It’s predecessor (A Cannon Rebel T6) malfunctioned and wouldn’t turn on. So, I needed to get a new camera. The new one is about two years old and still works really well!
  10. The final season of The Summer I Turned Pretty premiered. I loved the books when they were published in the late 2000’s, so this just made me happy.
  11. My friends are all good. We’re still worried about our food allergies, but we’re still in pretty good health.
  12. A Hobby Lobby opened near where the JoAnn’s used to be. Although I feel conflicted about shopping at Hobby Lobby right now, I am still happy about this. JoAnn’s was the closest fabric store that carried fashion fabric. Now I have somewhere to shop whenever I need to buy something in person.
  13. I am now the proud owner of some new-to-me Louis Vuitton handbags. They need some help, specifically the leather needs to be replaced on some of the bags, but they are mine. And I didn’t need to spend thousands of dollars for them!
  14. I found some of my old medical record. This gave me a better idea about what my health problems were diagnosed as when I was teenager versus what they really are. (I was really stressed out about this for many years. Now I have some sort of closure about if my doctors saw my symptoms or didn’t.)
  15. My house is getting worked on. Some of the work on the house includes new windows that don’t leak, new paint on the kitchen walls, new blinds in the kitchen, and new, brighter lights.
