Tru Fragrance’s Love and Lyrics Crush Eau de Parfum Review

Tru Fragrance is a fragrance brand I used to like. Their scents are different, unique, and don’t change like the luxury brand ones do.

Love and Lyrics is one of my favorite scents Tru Fragrance has created. Along with the music reference to it, I also really love it’s scent notes and how long it lasts. This is why when I discovered there was a second Love and Lyrics fragrance called Love and Lyrics Crush, I wanted to try it.

After waiting to purchase a bottle of it, I ordered it off Amazon and started to test it to see if I like it. Since then, I have formed some opinions about it that I want to talk about in a review post.

Normally Tru Wester puts a quote on the flap of the box. On the Love & Lyrics Crush box, it is on the side of the box. The quote says: Where Words Fail, Music Speaks. Because of the metallic, mirror like finish on the area where the quote is, it is kind of hard to read it.

It describes the scent notes in the fragrance. Like the side of the box where the quote is, it is hard to read. It says:

I debated if I should write a review about Love & Lyrics Crush because I like the original Love & Lyrics a lot. Unfortunately, I don’t like Crush at all. It is a pleasant enough fragrance that I don’t mind smelling it, but I don’t like wearing it. It doesn’t flatter my skin oils and I didn’t enjoy smelling it on my skin.

That said, the fragrance could be a good fragrance for other people. I prefer lighter, sweeter, citrus, cream, vanilla, and berry scent notes. This one has scent notes I like, such as peony and mandarin, but I don’t really like them in this fragrance. It is a stronger fragrance with a pronounced musk bottom scent note. It is also fresh scent that bring attention to the wearer and is feminine. I believe this fragrance would be great for anyone looking for a more robust, attention grabbing fragrance that will last for hours. Unfortunately, it’s not for me.
