Maybelline New York Baby Lips 05 Quenched Review
Last month, I decided to get rid of all my old lip balms. They either no longer worked or were irritating my skin. That was when I decided to turn to an old lip balm line I used to love, Baby Lips by Maybelline.
I used to love this lip balm line, but I had to discontinue using it due to health problems that included allergies and skin problems. Although the lip balms didn’t cause the irritations I suffered from, I was advised to take no chances and to get rid of all my old favorite beauty products. Today, I am doing much better and can now use many of my old beauty products again.
When I decided to replace my old lip balms with Baby Lips balms, I decided to purchase three different balms from the line. I already wrote a blog post about the first balm I used, Dr Rescue, in a post here. After using Dr Rescue, my lips healed enough to start using other balms. The second balm I decided to use is 05 Quenched.
When it is new and in the package, 05 Quenched looks like this…

I picked this balm to use because it does not have a pigment to it. I thought it would be a great balm to use after my lips healed.
The balm works really well. It hydrates the lips but doesn’t leave a pigment behind. It isn’t sticky and is smooth on the lips after applying. Quenched has a smell, but it isn’t really strong. I remember the scent, but I pinpoint how to describe it. (It is probably because it is really a nostalgic scent for me. I probably reminds me of when I used to use Baby Lips a lot!)
Overall, I like this balm. Since my lips are currently healing from being chapped, I prefer to use the Dr Rescue balm instead of Quenched. For me, Quenched is the balm to use after the lips have healed and no longer need more lip balms with medication in them. Still, if you need a lip balm without any pigments that does a good job hydrating the lips, I recommend this balm!
That’s all for now! Thank you for reading!
