Skylar x The Summer I Turned Pretty Perfume Trio Feature

Back in the early 2010’s, I discovered The Summer I Turned Pretty novel series. I read it, like them, and then moved onto other books that were newly released. Many years later, a series based off the series was released on Amazon. Although I was excited to see the series, the books will always be my favorite way to experience the story.

Even though I like the series, I felt conflicted about buying the tie in merchandise. Although they were really pretty and were my style, I felt they were too youthful for me. So, I skipped on purchasing many of the merchandise. The ones I purchased are items I really like and make me happy to this day. Three of the products I purchased were the Skylar x The Summer I Turned Pretty perfume collection.

I love the fragrances a lot, I decided to save reviewing each of the fragrances for future posts. Instead, I will be focusing on the collaboration packaging and if they are truly worth purchasing.

For the collaboration, Skylar Clean Beauty created three tie in fragrances for The Summer I Turned Pretty. The packaging is in the same style as other tie in merchandise for the series. All three tie in fragrances where available individually and as a three pack set. All three fragrances were also available to purchase on Amazon.

The fragrances in the set are Capri Summer…

Salt Air…

And Boardwalk Delight…

As of February 2025, only the Capri Summer and Salt Air are available to purchase on Amazon.

I really like the packaging. It is super cute and fits into the summer theme the tie in merchandise has. The bottles are travel sized (0.33 FL OZ or 100 ML) and are rollerballs. I also really like the fragrances as well. They fit the theme and they last on the skin a really long time!

So, do I recommend purchasing these specific fragrances?

Sort of.

You see, the perfume scents in this limited edition collection (Capri Summer, Salt Air, and Boardwalk Delight) are all available to purchase from Skylar without the Summer I Turned Pretty packaging. The fragrances are the same as the versions Skylar sells. The fragrances in the limited edition packaging are not an exclusive, limited edition perfume variation of Skylar’s normal perfumes. Just the packaging.

That said, I like how these fragrances are available to purchase without the limited edition packaging. If fans of the show purchased the fragrances without knowing about Skylar Clean Beauty and love the scents, they can still purchase them without the limited edition packaging.

As for if I recommend these fragrances in their limited edition packaging, I do. When all three fragrances were available, they cost the same as the normal fragrances in the same bottle size. Purchasing the three fragrance set cost less than buying them individually no matter if it had the limited edition packaging or not. In February 2025, the last two limited edition fragrances still available cost less than the normal fragrance version. This is why, if you can still find these limited edition packaging, I’d suggest purchasing them. These fragrances are a more budget friendly option.
