5 Reasons I Love (and 5 Reasons Why I Hate) This Month in Arizona- April

It’s over a week since the start of April and I have yet to publish a post about why I love and hate this month in Arizona. To be honest, April is one of the months I struggle finding both good things and bad things to talk about. It’s not because I don’t have reasons I love and hate Arizona during April. It is because I struggle thinking of reasons that are not area specific! Even though I struggled to think of reasons to list, I decided to write the reasons I don’t like the month even if they are more common and familiar to the area where I live instead ones applicable to of the whole state.

Here are the previous month posts…

The five reasons I love this month in Arizona are…

  1. The temperatures are not too cold, but not too warm either.
  2. Since the temperatures are nice, there are plenty of outdoor activities to do, fairs, and festivals to attend.
  3. It’s still really nice weather to hike.
  4. Baseball and soccer are back!
  5. You can sit outside and watch a sunset without the extreme heat.

Bonus reason: Winter visitors are getting ready to leave for the summer. This means the roads and stores are going to be quieter than they have been all year long.

And here are the five reasons I hate this month in Arizona…

  1. Even though the temperatures are nice, there have been times when it still gets close to 100 degrees Fahrenheit if not above.
  2. Weather fluctuates between being cool and hot. This can be hard on heating/AC units and is just the an overall nuisance of changing seasons and temperatures.
  3. Those outdoor activities, fairs, and festivals are popular. Especially when it comes to the music festival Country Thunder. Because of the popularity, it is super hard to drive on the roads due to the traffic.
  4. April is also a month when a lot of road construction happens. This, added with additional traffic on the roads to get to and out of music festivals.
  5. Don’t forget about all the pollen and allergens in the air! This is why Arizona isn’t very allergy friendly like it was said to be.

That’s all for now! Thank you for reading!
