September 2023 Collective Book Haul

Since the Spring of 2023, I went on months book shopping sprees. In September, I decided to cut back on my book shopping. I was willing to go book shopping, but I didn’t like many of the books that were released that month. So, I decided to wait to purchase more books another month. Even though I didn’t like the books released in September, I did do some book shopping. I ended up purchasing four books during the month. Despite the small size of the book haul compared to previous months, I am still happy with the books I purchased that month.

The first book in this haul is Assistant to the Villain by Hannah Nicole Maehrer…

I mentioned I was considering purchasing this book in a previous post. Well, I finally decided to purchase a copy. I haven’t read it yet (I’ve been too busy to sit down and read as much as I would like to) but I’m glad I don’t need to worry about finding a copy.

The next book in this haul is The Last Field Party by Abbi Glines….

This book is the seventh and last book in the Field Party series. I purchased the first book in the series, called Until Friday Night, and liked it… sort of. I read it, and all the other books in the series, during a time when I was, for lack of better description, going through some things. This tainted my enjoyment of the books. Still, I liked the first book enough to keep. I also like The Last Field Party enough to purchase a copy. Even though I am missing five of the seven books in the series, I like the idea to own the first and last books in the series only.

The next book in this haul is My Roommate is a Vampire by Jenna Levine…

Just like Assistant to the Villain, My Roommate is a Vampire is a book I liked the premise of, but didn’t know if I should buy it. After a lot of thought, I finally decided to purchase a copy. I’m hoping I will enjoy this book.

The last book in this haul is Further Chronicles of Avonlea by L.M. Montgomery…

Further Chronicles of Avonlea is the final book I purchased (So far) that I’m missing in my Anne of Green Gables book collection. I mentioned in a previous post that I am trying to collect all the books that take place in the Anne of Green Gables world. I think this is the final book I need to purchase. I wanted to purchase it on Amazon, but they didn’t have it. Instead, I purchased a used book. It is in great condition for its age. Even though it is older than my other L.M. Montgomery books, I am happy to own it!
