MAC Cosmetics x Stranger Things Collection at Ulta Beauty

A week or so ago, I needed to go to Ulta Beauty to purchase some things. While there, I saw several new limited edition collections available at the store. I was interested in them, so I took photographs of the collections to review them and decide if I want to actually purchase them.

The first collection I saw was the MAC Cosmetics collaboration collection with the TV series Stranger Things. The Ulta Beauty I shopped at didn’t start to sell MAC Cosmetics until a few months ago. Even then, the only product available was one of MAC’s mascaras. To see a whole entire collection, including brushes, from MAC available in store was a huge treat for me to see.

Here is what the display for the collection looked like…

 

On the day I visited Ulta Beauty, parts of the collection had sold out or almost sold out. Also, some of the tester samples were not on display. It made me sad to miss out on the collection and not see what the whole collection looked like. I still took pictures of what was available, including the lipgloss sets…

The collection’s packaging is split into two different designs. One design is based off Hawkins High School and have colors perfect for everyday wear. The other design is based off the Upside Down and have a darker tone to the colors.

At the time I visited Ulta Beauty, the testers of the eye pallet and powder blush in the Hawkins High School packaging were available…

 

Unfortunately, the tester of the Upside Down packaging powder blush was unavailable. Instead, I tried to take photographs of the The Void eye pallet…

I thought I took photographs of the inside of the pallet, but I didn’t. So, that’s the only photograph I have of the Upside Down pallet.

In addition to the lip glass, blush, and eye pallets, there were two brushes in the collection. Testers of the brushes were not available, but photographs of the brushes could be seen before you purchased them…

I didn’t know why, but the photographs I took of the actual display didn’t turn out well. The cardboard the display had a high gloss finish, which reflected any light that shined on it. This made it extremely difficult to take photographs of it. Since it was so hard, I decided to give up on taking many photographs of the brushes pictures. Also, they were just photographs of the brushes, not the real brushes. Because of this, I didn’t think I would feel upset about not taking photographs of them

Despite my difficulties trying to take photographs of the display, I still wanted to try to take a photograph of the advertisement of the gift with purchase…

If you spend $65 or more, you will receive a MAC x Stranger Things bag. Even though it isn’t very clear in the photograph (More of that glossy shine I already mentioned), the bag is a green fanny pack with the Hawkins High School emblem on it. The bag was not available to view in person, so I don’t have a photograph to share of what it actually looks like in store. It is an Ulta Beauty exclusive.
