Bath and Body Works Aromatherapy Tea Tree and Peppermint Body Wash Review
It’s getting closer to Christmas and, even though I have plenty of posts to publish before then, I wanted to write some additional posts about a few Bath and Body Works body wash and fragrance mists from their Christmas line. The semi-annual sale will happen after Christmas, so this is the time to write and publish review posts about the products before it will be too late.
For this post, I wanted to review the Tea Tree and Peppermint body Wash.
This is what the bottle looks like…
According to Bath and Body Works’ website, the Tea Tree and Peppermint body wash is described as…
Inspired by the coolness of the winter season, enhance your aromatherapy routine with this invigorating blend of tea tree and peppermint essential oils.
I purchased this as a gift. Even though it is a gift, I was curious about the scent. In order to use as little as possible yet try it, I used a small amount of the body wash as a hand wash.
When I opened the bottle, I was surprised by how strong the scent is. I expected to smell the peppermint, which is a strong scent, but I was surprised by the tea tree scent. It smelled like… well… a tree. I thought it would smell more like tea, not an actual tree. Also, my first impression about the scent was the tea tree smelled more like a pine tree or balsam wood. It makes sense that this fragrance to have this note, (After all, it’s part of the Christmas fragrance line) but the website didn’t mention this note, so I was very surprised to smell it.
Despite this surprise, I still liked the scent. It isn’t a scent I would wear. It smells more like a man’s fragrance than a women’s, but it is the kind of fragrance that is gender neutral. This is why I believe if a woman enjoys the scent and how it smells on their skin, then it would be a great scent for them as well.
I, on the other hand, do not like the scent a lot on my skin. I like the peppermint fragrance notes, but I don’t like the tea tree. Unfortunately, it’s too strong for me. When I washed my hands with the body wash, it stayed on my skin for quite a long time. I love the scent on the one I’m giving the bottle to, but I really don’t like on it on me.
I am glad I purchased this fragrance as a gift. I know the recipient will love the fragrance and the fragrance notes will smell great on their skin. I highly recommend this fragrance to anyone who wants a festive scent that is pleasant to smell and will stay on the skin for a long time.
Well, that’s all for now! Thank you for reading!
