Mario Badescu Botanical Exfoliating Scrub Review
Last year, during the spring 2019 Ulta Beauty 21 Days of Beauty sale, a few Mario Badescu products were on sale for 50% off. One of them was the botanical exfoliating scrub. At that time I knew I would need a new face scrub, so I picked up a tube for when my then scrub ran out. When it did run out, I began using the Mario Badescu scrub to see if I liked it more than my other scrubs. If you are unfamiliar with the way the tube looks like, here are some photographs of the front and back of the tube…
And this is how the scrub itself looks like…
The scrub is an almost clear cream with some opaque grains that creates the exfoliate.
For the first month I used the scrub, I didn’t like it because it wasn’t aggressive enough. I have oily combination skin and I usually use a face scrub once a week with my old scrub, but this one I must use three times a week and, in a extreme case week, four times a week.
After using it for three months, I think it is a good product. I don’t see many new breakouts due to the scrub and my skin seems to like it enough that it responds well to it. The only complaint is that it is too mild for me. I hoped I would need to scrub once a week using it, but my skin needs it more often. I still scrub three times a week with a fourth time if my skin needs more help. Since this scrub is too mild for my skin, I decided to not buy another tube after this one runs out.
Although I’m disappointed with how the Mario Badescu Botanical Exfoliating Scrub performed for my skin, I believe this scrub would be perfect for people with sensitive skin or anyone that cannot use very aggressive scrubs. It is also great for anyone with breakout prone skin.
Well, that’s all for now! Thank you for reading!
