September 2019 Favorites

September is now over and I’m so happy to see it go. It was hot month weather wise and a struggle for me personally, including set backs in my move to a new city and getting sick. Even though September was a stressful month, I do have a few favorites, mostly beauty and one non beauty, I discovered and enjoyed during the month.

Blue Lizard Australian Sunscreen

In September, I decided to try a different sunscreen than my normal sunscreens. After searching for a new sunscreen, I learned about Blue Lizard Australian Sunscreen on a recommendations post on a beauty magazine website. (I can’t remember the name of the magazine, but it was either Elle or Allure) After buying a bottle, I feel in love with it and cannot recommend it enough to anyone with allergies or sensitive skin.

Sol De Janeiro Brazilian Kiss Cupacu Lip Butter

I’m trying to use up as much make up and beauty products before the gift sets start appearing in Sephora. One of those gift sets was a Sol De Janeiro gift set including jars of Brazillian Bum Bum cream and a stick of Brazilian Kiss Cupacu Lip Butter. Since I still love my E.O.S. lip balms, I didn’t think of using the lip butter until I couldn’t find my E.O.S. balms and tried this one instead. It worked so I continued to use it. Even though I still love my E.O.S. balms, I really do enjoy using it and would recommend it to anyone who would like to try it.

Rimmel London Stay Gloss in the Color My Rose

I’m a die hard fan of Rimmel London’s Stay Gloss in the color My Rose, but I never talked about it in my monthly favorites. This past month, while using all the make up products and getting rid of the old make up that expired, I found a few tubes of Stay Gloss including the color My Rose. After using it, I fell back in love with the color. It works well with my skin tone and I love the way it feels on my lips compared to other Stay Gloss colors.

Country Music: A Ken Burns Film

When I heard about the documentary Country Music: A Ken Burns Film, I was excited to watch it… until it was announced that it would premiere a year and a few months later. This made me furious because I love old school country music and it was about time someone made a documentary about it for PBS or in the style of something you will see on PBS. After waiting patently, I finally got to see the documentary on PBS and loved it. I cannot recommend it enough to country music fans as well as anyone curious about country music’s history.

That’s all for now! Thank you for reading!
