January 2019 Beauty Favorites

It’s February which means it’s time for me to reflect on the the previous month and discuss my favorite items I discovered or continued to use through out January. I tried to write a monthly favorites post last year, but I was unable to keep it up. This year, I want to change that and try to write a new monthly favorites post each month.

This past January, I did not try as many new beauty products as I planned to, but I did discover a handful of products I really do love and want to share!

Aussie Mega Moisture Shampoo

The first beauty favorite I have for the month is a new shampoo. Due to some recent health problems, I knew I needed a shampoo that is not intended for dandruff. After browsing the shampoo section, I finally decided to try Aussie’s Mega Moisture shampoo. I heard great things about Aussie shampoo for years but never had the opportunity to try it. After washing my hair with the shampoo, I found my scalp felt better and my hair felt and looked much better than it has with other shampoos. Also, I found that, even though this shampoo is a moisturizing shampoo, it did not leave my hair greasy or too oily. I wish I found this shampoo sooner!

Essie Nail Polish in Vanity Fairest

While browsing Target’s nail polish section, I picked up an Essie nail polish in the color Vanity Fairest. I recently painted my nails with the polish and I love it. It is an ice pink color with glitter in it. I love nail polish in lighter shades of pink, so I painted my nails near the end of January with this polish.

Dior Sugar Scrub

I tried the Dior Sugar Scrub last year and fell in love with it. I finished my first tube of the scrub last month and I’m currently on my second. I still love it and found it extremely useful during the dry winter months.

Vaseline Intensive Care Advanced Repair Lotion

The last beauty item on my favorites list is Vaseline’s Intensive Care Advanced Repair lotion. I tried this lotion many years ago because it is fragrance free, but I stopped using it because I didn’t need it anymore. For the past few months, I’ve noticed that no matter how much lotion I applied, my skin became unbearably dry. I looked at the lotion sections of stores and tried other kinds, but nothing helped. Out of desperation, I purchased a new bottle of Vaseline Intensive Care to try out. The lotion not only helped my dry skin, but it also healed dry patches on my skin and on my feet. Based off my previous experience with this lotion, I know I cannot use it all the time and will need to switch between this one and another, but when the time comes, I know I can depend on it. Plus, it’s still fragrance free.

Well, that’s all for now! Thank you for reading!
