In July 2017, I received a skin care sample package from Sephora. I ordered it as part of a promotion, but I didn’t get the chance to test the samples until recently. In addition to the samples from Sephora, I had other samples I wanted to test and talk about on my blog. Since I had so many, I decided to talk about a few in blog posts at a time.
The first sample I tried was this one, Innisfree The Green Tea Seed Serum…
This sample did not come with my Sephora skincare sample bag, but in an order of Korean beauty products I ordered. I received multiples of this serum, and I’ve loved it. It never clogged my pores and always left my skin feeling very soft. I really wish I had a bottle of it to use.
The second sample I tried was Brazilian Bum Bum Cream…
Living in a desert, it’s hard to keep my skin moisturized. This really moisturized all my dry skin and left my skin very soft. The only complaint I have about it is it has a very strong scent. The smell is not unpleasant, but it is strong. If you can stand the scent, then I highly recommend it.
The next sample I tested is Tarte’s Drink of H2O hydrating boost…When I found this sample in the bag, I didn’t think I’d like it because any facial moisturizer I’ve tried clogs my pores and makes my skin break out. I’ve found ways around it, but I need to constantly make sure I don’t use too much moisturizer. Recently, I’ve found my skin is very dry so I decided to give this a try.
To be honest, I’m not sure how I feel about this product. It smelled nice, like sea salt and the sea, but I found it didn’t moisturize the driest parts of my face the way I hoped it would. It still moisturized my cheeks nicely and left my whole entire face feeling very soft. Also, I didn’t break out after using this product once! Sometimes I break out within 24 hours after I use a new moisturizer, but this one didn’t do that.
The major drawback I have with it is that after it sank into my skin it left my face feeling very sticky. I really don’t like moisturizers that leave my skin feeling sticky so this was a major drawback for me. I was able to remedy the sticky feeling by washing my face, which left me with very soft skin, but in the mean time it bothered me.
Well, that’s all I have to talk about! I plan on testing more samples and taking about them in the future, but things are a little to busy to test new skin care products.
Thank you so much for reading!
