5 Arizona Events I’m Looking Forward to in 2022 (Or Fall 2021)

For the past few weeks, I learned events I wanted to go to in 2020 will be held in the fall of 2021 or in 2022. I’m very excited about this and, after looking at my list of events I wanted to go to in 2020, I made a list of events I would like to go to in the fall of this year or in 2022. I’m not sure I will be able to go to everything I want to (Work schedule and things happening in my life are the main causes for my uncertainty), but there are five events that top my list.

Thoughts on the 2020 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and Local Parades Changes

A while ago, Macy’s announced that they will hold the 94th annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on November 26, 2020. Due to the pandemic, the parade will be different. It will be televised only and there will be additional changes to avoid person to person contact, including using vehicles to tether the huge balloons instead of using people as balloon handlers. Although I’m super happy to see the parade, and understand why there are changes to the parade in order to stay safe, I also discovered that a local Christmas light parade will be implementing changes in order to help avoid person to person contact.

After discovering the changes for the local Christmas light parade, I felt surprised that they would still hold some sort of event. I believed the organizers of the Christmas light parade would be ready to cancel the event, but I’m glad they’re not. According to the website, they will not hold a parade to prevent crowds from gathering on the side of the road to watch the parade. Instead, they will have the entrants for the parade parked in a line and attendees of the event will walk by each float.

I must admit, seeing the Thanksgiving Day Parade pre-recorded makes me sad as does not being able to see the local light parade take place, but I’m at the point emotionally when I need anything to enjoy the holiday season. Even though the parades will not be the same as previous years and will be socially distance focused, I’m happy to know the event planners for both the Thanksgiving Day Parade and the local light parade are trying to make it fun and exciting anyway.

Even though this holiday season will be different than other year’s, I’m still excited for it and can’t wait to celebrate!

Well, that’s all for now! Thank you for reading!
