5 Arizona Events I’m Looking Forward to in 2022 (Or Fall 2021)

For the past few weeks, I learned events I wanted to go to in 2020 will be held in the fall of 2021 or in 2022. I’m very excited about this and, after looking at my list of events I wanted to go to in 2020, I made a list of events I would like to go to in the fall of this year or in 2022. I’m not sure I will be able to go to everything I want to (Work schedule and things happening in my life are the main causes for my uncertainty), but there are five events that top my list.

Phoenix Fan Fusion (Or A Different Pop Culture Convention)

I planned to go to a pop culture convention in Arizona in 2020. I used to go to at least one a year before I became too ill to go. In 2020, I felt healthy enough to go to one: Phoenix Fan Fusion (Formally known as Phoenix Comicon). These plans fell though because the pandemic forced the convention to cancel their show for the year. It was planned for 2021, but it was canceled again and rescheduled to January 14-16 2022. My ticket is still good, but I’m not sure how busy I will be in January. If I am and I’ll be forced to skip this convention, I’ll try to go to a different pop culture convention in 2022.

Arizona Renaissance Festival

I had plans to go to the Arizona Renaissance Festival in the final weekends it was open in 2020, but the Festival was canceled due to orders for social distancing. I was torn about going in 2021, but my decision whether I would go this year or not was decided for me when the Festival was canceled for 2021. I feel more comfortable going to the Festival in 2022, so I’m hopeful I’ll be able to go at least one day during the 2022 season.

Christmas Light Parades

I really love going to Christmas light parades, but when the pandemic happened most of the Christmas light parades were canceled. This year I’m hoping there will be many parades to go to. I plan on going to at least one in my area this year.

Fairs and Festivals

I planned to going to fairs and festivals in 2020, but the ones I planned to go to were canceled. I’m hoping to go to a few this fall, specifically a pumpkin picking festival at a farm.

ASU Gammage Broadway Tour Shows

Going to see a touring production of a Broadway show has been part of my bucket list of things to do after I healed and saved enough money after my long term illness for years. I thought I would finally be able to do it in 2020, but the pandemic completely took care of that dream. I’ve been to touring productions at Arizona State University’s Gammage Auditorium many times in the past and enjoyed going. So, in 2022, I would like to go to ASU’s Gammage and watching some of the shows that are supposed make a stop there. The 2021-2022 season is available to look at and shows will be making stops in late 2021. Because of this, I’m hopeful to go to a show later this year, but I can wait for 2022 if I need to.
