Bath and Body Works Sweetest Song Perfume Review

This past spring, Bath and Body Works released a fragrance called Sweetest Song. I debated if I should buy it (Mostly because everything inspired by or is relating to music for females seems to be actually inspired by Taylor Swift… and I’m sick of it) but I finally decided to buy myself a perfume spray version of it. After using it on and off since then, I feel comfortable publishing a review post about it.

Before I review the fragrance, I wanted to show what the fragrance I purchased looks like.

This is what the perfume spray of Sweetest Song looks like…

I really like the way the bottle looks. It has a 2000’s style to the logo and coloring, which I like. I don’t like all the 2000’s styles and aesthetics, but this is one of the ones I do like.

Like the name of the bottle, it is a perfume spray. This is what the spray looks like with the cap off…

The spray works really well.

This version of the fragrance holds .23 FL OZ (7 mL). There is a larger version of the fragrance, which comes in a box that is actually a music box. According to the listing for it, the song is identified as “the sweetest song” with no other details.

Bath and Body Works’ website description of the fragrance is…

What it smells like: music that takes you back to the best day ever.

Fragrance notes: blush raspberries, sugar crystals and whipped musk.

Despite my reservations about buying the fragrance, I really like this fragrance. The raspberry and sugar notes are some of my favorite types of fragrance notes. They blend really well together and smelled really nice on my skin. The musk isn’t my favorite bottom note, but then again musk never is a fragrance note I enjoy in general. The musk in this fragrance is not as heavy due to the “whipped” part of it. To me, the “whipped” part of the fragrance note smells more like cream. I really like the blending of the two and how much lighter the creamy note makes the musk.

Even though I hesitated to buy this fragrance, I actually really like it a lot. The fragrance stays on my skin for hours before fading and smells pleasant the whole time. I recommend this fragrance to anyone looking for a stronger, longer lasting yet sweet and feminine smelling fragrance.
