Laneige Sweet Candy Lip Sleeping Mask Review
For many years, I’ve been interested in Asian beauty brands. My love for these brands stems from health problems and allergies to many easily accessible beauty brands in the Unites States. My friends suggested I try Asian beauty brands due to their clean ingredients. I tried some of the brands, fell in love with their products and how well they works for me, and I never looked back.
Sadly, over the years many of the brands I used to love now include ingredients that irritates my skin. Because of this, I had to discontinue using their products. One of the products I haven’t needed to discontinue is Laneige’s Lip Sleeping Mask.
In more recent years, Laneige’s Lip Sleeping Mask became infamous online due to it’s popularity with children. Because of this, I debated if I should write a review post about it. I decided to go ahead with it because it has become one of the last brands and products I love and can still use from Asian skincare brands that can be purchased reasonably easily in the United States.
For this review I will be talking about one of my favorite flavors: Sweet Candy.

All full sized Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask comes with a pot of the mask and a small silicone applicator. I don’t normally use the applicator. Instead, I use my ring finger to apply the mask on my lips.
After using this mask for years, I can honestly say I really like it. It is expensive in comparison to drug store brands, but the quality of it makes it worth it for me. It hydrates my lips really well and helps heal chapped lips. Certain flavors of the mask have tint to the product. I haven’t found them to effect the color of my lips at all. My favorite part of the mask is a little bit goes a long way. It doesn’t matter what the flavor is. A little bit of the product goes a long way. Because of this, one small pot can last for many months.
As for the scents, I love Sweet Candy. I’m not a huge fan of candy or sweets, but I really love this flavor. Other flavors I like are Berry and Vanilla. I also like their candy cane flavor, but it is available during the holiday season.
So, do I recommend this product? Absolutely! As someone with skin sensitivity, allergies, and lives in a dry, arid climate, this product has been an important part of taking care my lips. Because of how little is needed for it to work, one full sized pot lasts me six months or more. Although it is expensive, and become infamous due to the product’s popularity with children, I think because the effectiveness of it and how long it can last, it is worth it.
Do I think children should use it? No. I am aware of people using this product on their children, but I think it could be useful if a child’s lips are so badly chapped that they need something stronger. That being said, I don’t think it should be a child’s only lip care. I think it should be an adult’s product that sometimes get used on a child whenever their lips are in bad shape. Not a child’s product to use whenever they feel like it.
That’s all for now! Thank you for reading!
