Phimas Crystal Ornament Review

Last year, I decided to branch out of my comfort zone and purchase an ornament from a brand I never purchased from. I found Phimas on Amazon and, as of 2024, they are still selling ornaments on Amazon. The ornament I purchased was advertised as their 2023 official crystal ornament and cost less than $35. Since it was an affordable crystal ornament, especially in comparison to Swarovski’s ornaments, I decided to buy one and see if I like it.

It came in a box with the Phimas’ name and a snowflake printed on the top of the box…

It came with ribbons and other ties to help hanging the ornament…

There is a date plaque on the top of the ornament, but I didn’t photograph it.

So, what do I think of this ornament?

To be honest, I was surprised by it’s quality. It’s quality is not comparable to Swarovski or other higher priced crystal ornaments, but it isn’t cheaply made. It is what I would consider mid grade quality, meaning it is between the higher priced crystal ornaments but above the cheapest ornaments. I would say it would lean more towards the higher priced ornaments than the cheapest ornaments. It has a weight to it (Heavier than Swarovski ornaments) and looks really nice. I didn’t find any manufacturing errors and it looks really well made and durable.

Overall, I give this star five out of five stars. My expectations were low due to the price, but it surpassed my expectations! I also love the fact it came with multiple ways of hanging the ornament, including with ribbons and crystal beads. It was different and I enjoyed testing the different ways to hang the ornament. The box was durable enough to protect the ornament and the styrofoam protected the ornament pretty well.

If you are looking at Swarovski ornament, but don’t like the price point and are willing to try a more cost friendly alternative, I recommend this ornament and Phimas. It may not be Swarovski, but it is a really nice quality ornament. Just make sure you hang it on a Christmas tree branch that will support it’s weight!
