A Few Broadway Soundtracks I Want To Purchase
Lately, I’ve been doing some major clean outs and organizing in my home. I found a lot of things I want to keep and others I want to get rid of. Even though I’m trying to decide what I want to keep and what I don’t want to, there are a few things I found missing from my collection. Some of them are music albums I never purchased!
Despite the holes in my music collection, there is one genre of music I’m the most upset about: Broadway musicals. I have always been a fan of Broadway musicals, but over the years I focused my interest in other things. Despite this, there are many soundtracks I wanted to own and believed I did, yet I didn’t. So, here are the musical soundtracks I want to own the most, yet don’t. Also, I want to own all the following soundtracks on CD. Not digitally. Yes, owning CDs will take up more room in my home, but I still like to own them in that format.
Legally Blonde The Musical
I wanted to own this soundtrack for over ten years, but I never purchased a copy. I loved the first Legally Blonde movie. When the musical premiered on Broadway in the 2000’s, I was really excited! I wanted to own the soundtrack, but I thought I purchased it. Sadly, I don’t. Out of all the musicals on this list, Legally Blonde is one of the top soundtracks I want to purchase.
A Beautiful Noise: The Neil Diamond Musical
I grew up listening to Neil Diamond’s music. When I heard there would be a musical based off his music, I was really excited! I really want to own this soundtrack badly. This is probably the top soundtrack I want to own and is probably going to be the first soundtrack I purchase to add into my collection.
The Music Man (Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster Version)
The Music Man is one of my favorite musicals of all time, but when I heard Hugh Jackman would be in a revival on Broadway, I was ecstatic. I love Hugh Jackman in Oklahoma, so I had really high expectations for the musical. Sadly, I don’t own the soundtrack. I want to buy it not only because I want to listen and enjoy it, but I also want to add it to my mini Music Man soundtrack collection.
Camelot (Richard Burton and Julie Andrews Version)
If you have read my blog for a while, you probably recognize the Camelot soundtrack. I already own a copy of the original Broadway cast on vinyl and talked about it in a post. Sadly, I don’t have one on CD. So, I need to get one. That way I won’t need to worry about ruining my vinyl!
Well, that’s all for now! Thank you for reading!
