5 More Favorite Summer Foods

While I wrote a post about five of my favorite summer foods, I had to leave some of my favorite foods out. This made me sad because I really enjoy eating them and didn’t mind talking about them. Since I have so many foods I enjoy eating during the summertime, I decided to write another post!

Cesar Salad

I used to have a love/hate relationship with Cesar salads. I loved the taste of them, yet the dressing made me sick due to my food allergies. Over the past few years, I began to sort out what my allergies due to the dressing are and how to work around them. I am happy to say that after years of tinkering, I have created my own version of the dressing without the ingredients that trigger my allergies. Today, Cesar salad has become one of my favorite summertime foods.

Pizza has always been a favorite summertime food of mine, but I don’t eat it as often as I used to. Whenever I do, I really enjoy it! I prefer to stick to the classic pizza toppings of cheese and pepperoni. I do enjoy other pizza toppings, but I like to remain loyal to the tried and true cheese and pepperoni.

Pasta Salad

I really like to eat pasta during the summertime. Along with other pasta dishes I will talk about later in this post, one of the dishes I don’t eat as much but do enjoy is pasta salad. I used to eat it a lot at a restaurant years ago, but today the restaurant no longer sells the salad anymore. Despite this, pasta salad is one dish I don’t feel like I masted creating from scratch, yet want to in the foreseeable future.

Pesto and Spaghetti

Pesto and spaghetti has been one of my favorite summertime pasta meals, but I didn’t like making it at home. In recent years, I began to make it myself and really enjoy it. If I want to add some more protein to the dish, I usually add a hard boiled egg. The egg tasted really good with the pesto and spaghetti!

Spaghetti and Spaghetti Sauce

The final favorite summertime food is spaghetti and sauce. The sauce is usually a tomato based sauce, but the name of it can vary. Usually I call it spaghetti sauce, so I’m going to call it that for this post. Thanks to the never ending list of ingredients found in premade foods that I am allergic to, I have to make the sauce from scratch. This is also why I love to eat spaghetti and my home made sauce so much! As can be imagined, my home made sauce is fathoms better than store bought and can even double as a marinara sauce for pizza! There may be fans of tomato sauce that will complain about my sauce and how “authentic” it is, but I don’t care. I really love the taste of it and so does anyone who tastes it too!

Well, that’s all for now! Thank you for reading!
