Beauty Favorites for February 2022

In February, I tried to use more new beauty products I purchased and/or already owned. Even though I had good intentions, I ended up not using most of the product I had to use. Despite this, I wanted to talk about my favorite beauty products I used during the month of February.

Aveeno Eczema Therapy Daily Moisturizing Cream

February is in the winter, but I also live in an arid climate. So, it can potentially be even drier than normal. Because of this, I began to use the Aveeno Eczema Therapy Cream more than I did in January. After using it so much, I can honestly say I love it! I still love my normal lotion, but whenever I had a bad allergy day, I used the Aveeno cream. By the end of the month, my skin felt much better that it did at the beginning of the month.

O.P.I. Pro Spa Nail and Cuticle Oil

One of the other areas I needed to keep moisturized is my cuticles. Even though my favorite lotion and the Aveeno cream worked well on my skin, it was less effective on my nail and cuticle area. In desperation, I purchased O.P.I. Pro Spa Nail and Cuticle Oil. It worked extremely well and kept my nails hydrated and skin near my nails from peeling.

Hair Scrunchies and Clips

February was a very busy month for me, so I found myself reaching for hair scrunchies and clips. I love my hair scrunchies and clips, but after taking some of my clips out to use, I began to realize some of them may need to be replaced. I can replace the scrunchies by making more (There are many tutorials online about how to make them and they are extremely easy to make!) but the clips are another story. I may need to do a hair clip clean out sooner rather than later!

Olaplex Number 8 Intensive Moisture Mask

During the month of February, I decided to give one of the Olaplex treatments I purchased a try. I purchased them in 2021 in hopes of keeping my hair healthy longer. I seemed to be too busy to use the treatments, but in February I decided to try the Number 8 Bond Intense Moisture Mask. It worked extremely well and my hair showed the positive benefits of using it.

Since using the product, I found out that one of the products in the line, called Number 3, contains something in it that could cause infertility. Due to this, the European Union and the United Kingdom has banned Number 3 from all EU countries. Number 8 is not banned from any European countries. Here is a link to a New York Post article about Number 3, the ingredient, it’s ban from Europe, and a reformation of the product.

Lip Balms

Finally, the last beauty favorite from February is lip balms. Again, the dry, arid climate and wintertime made is nessisary to moisturize my lips. I switched between several different balms, but I found I had some standout favorites that I could count on to keep my lips hydrated and feeling comfortable.

Well, that’s all for now! Thank you for reading!
