Magnolia Table Volume 2 Cook Book Review

A few months ago, while wasting time in Walmart, I browsed the book section. I found the Magnolia Table Volume 2 cook book for sale. It was published on April 2020, but the was not available at my nearest Walmart until May because of the lock downs and slowing of shipments of anything non essential, such as books.

Although I didn’t intend to buy a cook book that day, I decided to buy this one because it had some recipes that interested me.This is what the front of the book looks like…

And the back of the book…

The book is a hard back book and looks sturdy enough to take reading and opening and closing multiple times, the kind of use that I believe a cook book should be able to take.

The table of contents…

In the beginning of the book, there are tips for hosting a meal…

As well as herbs, seasonings, and substitutions for cooking…

After the tips and guide sections, the recipes start. One of my favorite sections of the book is the chapter dedicated to scratch made foods, specifically breads and pastries.

One of the recipe in this book really caught my eye is this graham cracker crust recipe. My old recipe includes a lot of ingredients I don’t like, but this one has less ingredients and looks like a recipe I will love more.

Near the end of the book, there is a universal conversion chart.

I always wanted an easy to access conversion chart while I’m cooking, so to find it in a cook book makes me happy.

Overall, I’m happy with this book. It is well organized and includes information that is useful, such as the previously mentioned herbs, seasonings, and cooking substitutions and the universal conversion chart. The ingredients in most of the recipes I like look really good and do not require me to make many substitutions due to my food allergies. It’s a great book with many tasty recipes that I can’t wait to try out.

Well, that’s all for now! Thank you for reading!
