Books I Want to Read- May 2020
It’s hot outside here in Arizona, so it’s a great time to stay inside and read. The biggest problem I have with saying inside to read is cabin fever set in and I want to go outside more than stay inside. Yet, the heat makes me stay where the temperature is nice a cool.
After months of going without newly released books that peak my reading interest, I found some in stores that I would like to buy and read. Here are some of the books I have my eye on to read during the hot summer months.
The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes by Suzanne Collins
When I found out there would be a prequel of the Hunger Games series, I knew I would need to pick up a copy as soon as it came out. Then Covid-19 happened and I was afraid the release of the book would be delayed until late summer, but that didn’t happen. Because of this, I purchased the book in store and look forward to reading it!
The Last Wish: Introducing The Witcher by Andrzej Sapkowski
I never read The Witcher series by Andrzej Sapkowski, but I saw this book at Walmart in paperback. I heard of The Witcher and heard the books and Netflix series are pretty good, so I would like to read this book in order to see if I’ll like the whole entire series.
Magnolia Table, Volume 2: A Collection of Recipes for Gathering by Joanna Gaines
I keep walking by this book in Walmart and looking through it but never purchased it. I really like it and the recipes look really good, but I planned to buy it as a house warming present for myself after I move. Moving didn’t happen because of Covid-19, but I still want this book and I’m getting impatient. So, I plan to buy it for myself and read it, but not try the recipes, until I move.
Entertaining with Mary Berry: Favorite Hors D’oeuvres, Entrees, Desserts, Baked Goods, and More by Mary Berry and Lucy Young
This is another cooking and recipe book that I want to buy myself as a house warming present, but didn’t. I love watching The Great British Baking Show and I already own one of Mary Berry’s cook books. Even though I have yet to try the recipes in the book, I loved reading it and how well the instructions are written. When I found out another Mary Berry cook book came out in March, I knew I want to own it.
Well, that’s all for now! Thank you for reading!
