Michael’s 2024 Sprinkle Shop Christmas Decor
This holiday season there have been many viral Christmas decorating trends. One of the trends I saw online was using decor from Michael’s stores.
This year, Michael’s had four themes for holiday decor. They are Sprinkle Shop, Gala, Holiday Pines, and Night Before Christmas. At my closest Michael’s, they had three of the four decoration themes. The only one that was missing was Holiday Pines. (I just wanted to mention I’m sad I didn’t get to see Holiday Pines in store! It had some pieces I was interested in browsing and potentially buying!) After browsing the collections multiple times during the holiday season, I realized I have my favorite themes. The theme I didn’t like out of all the collections was Sprinkle Shop.
To be honest, I don’t actually hate the collection. I saw decor I didn’t like more at other stores. In fact, I liked many things about this collection. The problem is the other two themes, Night Before Christmas and Gala, are more in line with what I wanted to shop for this holiday season. Night Before Christmas has more traditional style decor and Gala has a feminine, shabby chic look to it. Gala also has pieces inspired by The Nutcracker, ballet, and music. As for Sprinkle Shop, it is inspired by sweets and cooking. The colors contain lots of pink, turquoise, and maroons, but also has reds and greens.
Despite this, I did like the colors used in this collection. I also think it would be a perfect collection to decorate a kitchen with. If my kitchen could be decorated, I would be browsing this collection more seriously. (My kitchen is small, doesn’t have room for decor in general, and is in constant use. If I were to decorate it, I would be using pieces that could get food splatter on and I can wipe off without damaging the item.)
Even though I didn’t buy anything from the collection, I have my favorite pieces in it.
The first are the ornament trees and North Pole Express Post sign…

I love ornament trees and wreaths like the ones in the picture. I still have a Target ornament tree from years ago that I still use. Seeing these types of trees are still available makes me happy.
Another favorite is this Mrs. Claus Christmas Cupcake sign…

I like signs like this one. Even though they are meant as decor, I like having a recipe that I would be using during the holiday season on display so I can see it whenever I use it. I don’t have room for such decor, but I always enjoy seeing the signs available to purchase. If I did have room for it, I would have a series of recipe wall art featuring recipes I use during that season as well as a measurement conversion “wall decor” on my wall so I don’t need to look up conversions.
I thought these table decor pieces were cute…

As well as these…

And I especially loved these two…

The fake gingerbread house stood out a lot to me!
So did these gingerbread houses…

In addition to the gingerbread houses and other tabletop decor, there were tabletop trees. There were these trees, which reminded me of trees from the board game Candyland…

There were peppermint trees, which was something I saw at Walmart as well…

And bottle brush trees with ornaments on them…

And, finally, these trees which were made out fake fur…

The final tabletop decoration I liked from this collection was this shelf that was in the shape of a gingerbread man…

It would be a fun way to display smaller decor on a size appropriate shelf.
My final favorite from the Sprinkle Shop this wall sign…

I love how the Nutcracker’s colors and the fake sprinkles on the edge!
That’s all for now! Thank you for reading!
