January 2024 Grocery Store Book Haul

In January, I went on a shopping trip to a grocery store. This grocery store was not Walmart, which is where I like to purchase many groceries at. Instead, it is a smaller chain of grocery stores, but are more locally sourced and contain more foods without my food allergies.

During my shopping trip, I found a bin full of books for reduced prices. Since this grocery store is different than Walmart or Dollar Tree, I decided to have a look through the books available for purchase. Much to my surprise, I found five books I liked and wanted to buy! (Normally I don’t find any books to purchase!) After months of sitting on the photographs I took of my haul, I decided it was time to write a post about them!

Here are all the books I purchased…

The first book I purchased in this haul is Poldark: The Miller’s Dance by Winston Grahm…

This book is the companion book to the series Poldark, on PBS’ Masterpiece TV show. I didn’t pay much attention to the book aside from the fact it is one of the Poldark novels. I know the story of Poldark was originally a novel series, but I don’t know how many books are in the series. I wanted to read the novels since the series aired on TV. When I found this book, I decided to buy it in order to encourage myself to start researching and buying the rest of the books in the series.

The next book I purchased is A Most English Princess by Clare McHugh…

This book is about Queen Victoria’s daughter, Victoria, Princess Royal. I thought it sounded interesting, so I decided to purchase it.

The next novel is Summer in the City by Lori Wilde, Priscilla Oliveras, and Sarah Skilton…

This book is a compilation of three stories written by the three authors. It is supposed to take place in New York City and is described as being in a rom-com style. It sounded interesting, so I decided to purchase a copy of it.

The next book in the series is Auntie Poldi and the Handsome Antonio by Mario Giordano…

I decided to purchase this book based off its plot. It is a mystery novel about a woman who retires in Sicily and solves crimes. This book is the third book in the An Auntie Poldi Adventure series.

The last book in this haul is South Beach Love by Caridad Pineiro…

This book is published by Hallmark Gold Crown. The plot of the book, and the fact all Hallmark published books are clean, made me want to purchase this book.
