Swarovski 2023 Annual Star Christmas Ornament Review
Every year, I look for new ornaments to purchase and add to my Christmas decor collection. One of the brands I like to search for and purchase is Swarovski. Over the years, I purchased multiple collectable ornaments from Swarovski. This year, I really liked the style of their 2023 annual star ornament. I found one on sale earlier this year and purchased it.
Since I am doing Blogmas, I decided to write a review about the ornament I purchased. I never wrote a review post on this blog about the Swarovski ornaments I purchased in the past, so this is a first!
The ornament I purchased arrived in a gift box that looked like this…

The actual box the ornament came in looked like this…

On one of the sides of the box, there was a stamp that says what kind of ornament it is and the year it was made for…

The ornament I purchase was the Annual Edition Ornament for 2023.
The top of the box pulls off the base. It looks like this when the box is open…

The ornament design changes every year. This year, the design is a five pointed star. At the top point of the star is a metal piece attached to the top. This is where the ribbon used to hang the ornament and a tag with the ornament’s date is located…

The ornament I own has a small crystal in the year tag.
This is what the ornament looks like from the front…

And from the back…

The official description of this ornament from Amazon is as follows…
-
Making memories: Swarovski’s Annual Edition 2023 Ornament is inspired by our “mathemagical” heritage of divine geometry and complex simplicity, for sharing memorable moments throughout the year.
- Wish upon a star: This clear crystal star is expertly crafted with 97 facets, attached to a luscious green ribbon with a gold-tone finished tag, displaying the year 2023 and a single chaton.
I like this ornament a lot. It is inspired by mathematics, which means a lot to me. (Although I do not consider myself very good at mathematics, I have grown to like certain types of mathematics, such as geometry. This is because I used them for my day job.) It is a pretty yet simple design. It is not as detailed as previous years, but it is still really nice. It has 97 facets on it and is 3 inches tall, 5/8 inch wide, and 2 3/4 inches long. It was hard to photograph (Thus why I used a black background for the closeup photos of it) but it does capture the light really well.
The ornament costs $90 USD without discounts or sales. This price can be pretty high for many, but it does go on sale for $70 USD and lower. (I purchased it when it was on sale for around $50 USD) I think this ornament would be a great option for anyone who wants a basic star ornament, but is a Swarovski annual ornament and has a collectible factor. The crystal it is made out of is really clean and clear. Since it is made out of crystal, not acrylic, it has more weight than anyone used to acrylic ornaments may expect. Still, the quality expected with Swarovski ornaments is still there and makes it worthy of a serious look and consideration for ornament fans.
That’s all for now! Thank you for reading!
