Many years ago, I discovered Vera Wang’s fragrance, Princess. At that time, I really loved the name and wanted to know what the fragrance smelled like. After searching for the fragrance to sample in store, I fell in love with it.
Today, I still associate Princess with everything a fragrance I want to own and wear during the spring and summer should be. I still enjoy wearing it to this day. Even though the fragrance has been out for over fifteen years, I don’t see many people talking about it online anymore. Since I love this fragrance very much, I wanted to write a review post about one of my favorite fragrances of all time.
The bottle of the fragrance looks like this…
The bottle is in the shape of a heart. It is cut like a diamond and has a crown on top. The crown is the topper of the bottle and needs to be removed before spraying the fragrance. The crown is gold and has rhinestones in the same purple shade as the fragrance liquid is in. I do not have a box for the fragrance, so I don’t have a photograph of it.
The fragrance’s back story and scent note description from Fragrantica.com is as follows…
Amber-floral fragrance, launched in 2006 as a modern and playful magical elixir. It celebrates youth and femininity in its top notes that bring the aquatic nuances with pure and sharp notes of water lily, apple, freshly-sweet mandarin and apricot.
The heart is composed of exotic guava, Tiare flower, tuberose, with a touch of dark chocolate. The base brings powdery traces of vanilla, amber and wood.
The bottle looks like a heart-shaped jewel, very fine and elegant, a symbol of magical charm and romantic in lilac tones. The fragrance comes as Eau de Toilette in 30ml, 50ml and 100ml bottles.
Like I already mentioned, this fragrance is one of my all time and long time favorites. It smells fruity and sweet, yet complex enough for me to wear it from my teenage years well into adulthood. For the right person, it is an excellent scent to wear no matter what age you are.
The scent lasts a long time on my skin. (About three hours) This is about average wear time for any fragrance I wear. Even though it won’t last me a whole entire day, I still enjoy wearing it in the morning. It seems to set my day off on the right foot! Also, the fragrance is a light weight fragrance and does not overwhelm me whenever I wear it.
The scent notes are more hardy than people would expect it to be. The vanilla and chocolate notes are my favorite notes in the scent. Even though it is a lighter fragrance, it is a scent I would recommend wearing it during the fall and winter months.
If you are looking for an old yet tried and true fragrance from the 2000’s to enjoy, I highly recommend this one. Smelling it brings back good memories and makes me want to wear it while making new good memories! It is a perfect scent for fall and wintertime.
