Tarte 2019 Holiday Eye Shadow Gift Set Unboxing

Months ago, I wanted to write an unboxing post about the make up and beauty products I purchased at Christmas time. Even though it’s March, things in the world are crazy and I, like many people around the world, need to stay home. Since I still want to talk about the make up I purchased in December, I decided to sit down and write some posts about them, starting with the Tarte 2019 Holiday Eye Shadow Gift Set I purchased on sale at Ulta. The top of box of the gift set looks like this…

The back of the box looks like this…

And at the top of the back of the box there are pictures of everything inside the gift set, including the names of the eye shadow in the pallets…

In addition to four pallets of eye shadows, the set comes with two brushes, two bronzers, two highlighters, a small tube of busy gal gloss, and a small tube of Maneater mascara.

Once out of the box, the gift set looks like this from the top…

And this from the side where the drawers are located at…

When the top of the box is open, the eye shadow pans can be seen…

The lid has a mirror, which created a reflection that made it hard to take good photographs of the eye shadow pallets. To fix this problem, I took them out of the box and laid them onto the faux fur rug I used as a backdrop for the photographs…

Underneath the area where the eye shadows are stored is a drawer, which is where the lip gloss, mascara, and pallet holder is stored…

Here is a photograph of the drawer pulled out and the eye shadow pans…

Here is what the compact for the eye shadows looks like…

Both the compact and eye shadow pans have corresponding magnets, allowing the pans to stick to the compact without falling out. In order for them to work, the eye shadow pan should be placed in the compact according to the instructions on the compact.

This is what it looks like with a pallet in the compact…

And finally, here are the gloss and mascara…

Both the gloss and mascara are small enough to be travel size. I never tried Tarte’s Busy Gal Gloss before, but I have tried Tarte’s Maneater mascara. I look forward to using both and talking about both products, as well as the eye shadows, in future posts.

Well, that’s all for now! Thank you for reading!
