I’ve been a fan of rose scented products for years, but finding rose fragrance I like can be hit or miss. For the most part, I don’t like the other scent notes in them.
When I discovered NEST New York’s Turkish Rose Perfume Oil, I was interested. I smelled really good, but I was more curious about the fact it is a perfume oil. I wanted to know how well it would work on my skin. Also, the scent notes was very interesting to me.

At the heart of this enveloping floral perfume oil is Rosa Damascena sourced from various family-owned farms in Turkey that have been perfecting the flower for generations. Harvested during May and June only, the rosebuds are handpicked at dawn when the flower is most fragrant. The Turkish rose extract is artfully blended with nourishing baobab oil for a sensuous formula that melts into your skin while leaving behind a long-lasting fragrance.
The fragrance was different than my other non oil perfumes. My perfume is a rollerball, but it is also the smallest size that can be purchased. The largest size comes with a dropper to apply the oil. I never owned the largest nor I have I tried the dropper, but I feel like the roller ball is my preferred way to apply it. It goes on really smooth, the control over it is very good, and it dispenses enough oil to apply on both my wrists.
The scent smells really good. I really enjoy how pronounced the rose scent is in the fragrance. Ideally, I would like there to be a coffee, chocolate, or vanilla base note instead of the blonde woods note. Yet, the woods note isn’t as strong as other wood notes I’ve smelled in rose fragrances. In this fragrance, the note was noticeable to me, but it didn’t overpower the rose scent note. The plum and saffron were there, but they seemed to balance the other notes in the fragrance.
The wear of the fragrance was very good! During my first test wear of the oil, it lasted over five hours on my skin before it began to fade. Even when the fragrance began to fade, I could still smell it on my skin.
I highly recommend this fragrance. Rose scent fans will really enjoy it. It lasts a long time on the skin and the rose fragrance notes wear really well. I also noticed the oil didn’t cause me to have an allergic reaction, which is a common problem for me. If you or someone you know would like to try it but is concerned about allergies, I recommend looking up the fragrance on NEST New York’s website. They have an ingredients list for this and all their fragrances. That way you can see if it will work for you.
