Books I Read in September 2024

It’s already the beginning of a new month, which means I need to write a new post about all the books I read in the previous month!

In September, I finally had some time to sit down and read. Although I am an avid reader, this year has been a hit or miss reading year for me. It was busy and I spent a lot of time doing other things instead of reading. This was the problem in August when I decided to force myself to sit down and actually read more books. It didn’t turn out that way, so I ended up postponing my reading plans until September. I was able to finish one book and three more. Again, September was a busy month, but it wasn’t nearly as bad as the previous months!

Sound of Light: A Marvel School of X Novel by Amanda Bridgeman

I was able to finish this book before the end of the month! I am really happy to read it. I was worried about it because I don’t really like the books inspired by Marvel’s characters. This book is one I really liked a lot and enjoyed reading it!

Cutie Pies and Deadly Lies by Addison Moore

I started reading this book in August. It is a cozy paranormal mystery and is part of a series. I found my copy on Amazon. So far it has been interesting and is an easier read. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to commit to sitting down and finishing the book for two months. (Too much going on) I hope to finally finish it this month.

Murder, She Wrote: Trick or Treachery by Jessica Fletcher and Donald Bain

I had this book in my library for a few months. I faintly remember reading it many years ago, but I don’t remember enough to tell the plot of the book. I also didn’t own the book anymore, so I decided to purchase it months ago and wait until the fall to start reading it. I finally had the chance to sit down and read it in September. I remember reading it, but I still don’t remember enough of it. Despite this, I am really enjoying reading this book! I have really enjoyed reading this book again.

Summer Breezes by Debbie Mcomber

I remember reading Debbie Mcomber books when I was in college in the 2000’s. I was never a fan of romance novels, but back then there were several authors that changed my perspective on romance as a genre. One of them was Debbie Macomber. I don’t have my old books to read right now, so I decided to buy the reprinting of them. Summer Breezes contains two books I read as a teenager. I’m halfway through the first book, Way to a Man’s Heart. So far I’m really enjoying reading her older books (They were published in the late 1980’s) and rereading the books that made me fall in love with reading romance novels.

That’s all for now! Thank you for reading!
