2017 School and Office Supply Haul

It’s that time of the year when the stores have school supplies available for sale. I’m not in school anymore (And I haven’t for a few years now), but I do enjoy looking and buying new notebooks, planners, and other school items for office supplies.

I bought many things this year because I was low on office supplies, but for this post I’m going to talk about my favorite purchases.

Along with pens, pencils, and other office supplies, I purchased a new planner.

I needed a new planner but I couldn’t find one I liked until I went to Target. I found many planners that I liked but I thought this Mead planner was too cute not to buy, especially since I live in the desert with cactus.

This planner is not small, which is what I was looking for. I write a lot in my planners so I need space to do it in. This planner has lots of space to write in for daily plans along with a monthly calendar with blank spaces that I can use to write in important information. Also, this planner has pages thick enough to take the abuse from writing and erasing pencil writing. I like to write in pencil in my planners. That way, if I make a mistake, I can simply erase it and rewrite it again. I already began to use my planner and it does take pencil writing and erasing. I’m very happy I found this planner before it sold out! (I believe as of this post it is sold out or is almost sold out at my local Target.)

Another school/office supply I purchased at Target are three notebooks.

I love Five Star notebooks because the front and back covers can take a lot of abuse. I started to use them in high school and I’ve used them ever since. I use them to write a variety of things, but I like to use notebooks, Five Star or not, with different covers so I can keep track of what I’m writing in what notebook. I do not own notebooks that have covers that look like these three, so they will work well with my notebook organization technique.

The last items I bought in this year’s haul is Lisa Frank a notebook and folders. I used to love Lisa Frank when I was a girl and would do all I could to keep the folders and binders in the best condition. Looking back now there was no way I could keep them in good shape because I used them so much, and everything eventually fell apart, but I loved the art on the front I wanted to preserve them.

It’s been years since I saw office supplies from Lisa Frank for sale anywhere near me, but when I saw them for sale in the back to school section at Walmart recently, I let out a little cry of joy.

I held back purchasing Lisa Frank notebooks and folders because I knew I’d buy more than I needed, but I did purchase a unicorn notebook…

And three folders…

The notebook and folders have glitter on them and are similar to what I remember them looking like when I was young. I know I’ll eventually use the notebook, but I’m not sure what I’ll do with the folders. I’m not going to lie, but the folders were an impulse buy. I actually do not have a use for folders in my normal office work, but I am playing with the idea of buying frames for them and hanging them up somewhere.

That’s all I have for this year’s school/office supply haul. I hope you enjoyed them!
